Last Saturday, we successfully delivered the donations we had collected to the families affected by the fire in Sitio Culasisi, Barangay Batong-Buhay. Our volunteers brought essential supplies for the seven families who lost their homes and personal belongings in the fire. These included clothing, sanitary kits for women and girls, shoes, slippers, and other basic necessities.

To create a positive and engaging experience to the children, including those enrolled in the local day-care center, the volunteers also organized an art activity where they could draw and color. A short discussion on disaster preparedness and emergency readiness was conducted, and whistles were distributed to the children as practical safety tools. The volunteers also shared important information on hygiene and health while distributing sanitary kits to the women. Snacks consisting of bread, biscuits, and drinks were prepared for everyone. In addition, all the art materials used during the activity were donated to the Day-Care Center for the children’s continued use.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the donors who contributed the items and food that were distributed; to the barangay officials and day-care workers who assisted with venue preparation, coordination, and transportation for the volunteers; to the families of Sitio Culasisi; and to all the volunteers who generously shared their time and effort to make this outreach activity a success.
