Last April 4, seven (7) households were left homeless by a fire mishap in Brgy. Buenavista which lasted several hours.

Families have been forced out of their homes by a fast-moving fire that turned their houses and personal belongings into ashed, and their livelihood totally destroyed. Although the fires spread quickly, residents managed to escape and moved to safer places. Nobody was badly hurt or injured. Affected individuals include 3 young children and an 8-month old baby.

To help the families in their recovery, we launched a clothing and financial assistance drive.

Affected families gathered in the small tent and the area we prepared for the distribution of basic necessities and clothing essentials. Monetary assistance was equally distributed to families.

We would like to thank all our generous donors for donating basic clothing essentials ; some beddings ; toys and school supplies for children as well financial assistance; municipality’s social welfare office for the information of beneficiaries and the owner of the house who let us use her front yard as a venue for the activity.
